Courtney Snyder Elhardt is a clinician, educator, and family wellness professional with more than 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. Her work is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: behavior makes more sense when we understand what is happening beneath it.

Courtney holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a Master of Science in Child and Adolescent Developmental Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Resident in Counseling in Virginia, working toward Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) licensure.

Throughout her career, Courtney has worked across education, residential care, counseling, and family support settings, including work with children and families impacted by trauma, foster care, adoption, attachment disruption, developmental differences, and complex behavioral and emotional needs. These experiences have shaped her approach to helping families move beyond simply managing behavior toward understanding, connection, regulation, repair, and lasting change.

As the founder of Elhardt Family Wellness, Courtney develops clinically informed resources, parent education, therapeutic tools, workshops, and professional trainings designed to translate complex psychological and developmental concepts into practical strategies families and professionals can actually use.

She is the creator of The Healing Home Approach™, an integrated framework that brings together trauma-informed care, attachment, child development, regulation, identity, and restorative discipline. Her approach emphasizes that children need both accountability and connection, and that effective intervention must consider not only what a child is doing, but what the child may be communicating through that behavior.

Courtney is particularly passionate about supporting foster and adoptive families and the professionals who serve them. She brings an honest understanding of both the needs of children who have experienced adversity and the real-world strain that caregiving can place on families. Her work seeks to replace shame and unrealistic expectations with practical understanding, evidence-informed strategies, and hope.

Through Elhardt Family Wellness and The Healing Home Approach™, Courtney works to help families and professionals build environments where children can feel safe, understood, connected, and capable of healing—while also recognizing that caregivers need support, knowledge, and compassion along the way.

Clinical Supervisor for Residents

With over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, I bring a depth of clinical insight, practical wisdom, and a passion for nurturing new professionals in their journey toward licensure. As a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor (LPC-S), I provide supportive, collaborative, growth-focused supervision tailored to each resident's unique needs and goals.

My clinical background spans diverse settings—including outpatient mental health, schools, community-based programs, and private practice—working with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I offer a trauma-informed and client-centered lens, integrating various evidence-based modalities to support ethical and effective practice. Supervision with me is structured to foster both professional competence and personal confidence. Together, we’ll explore case conceptualization, clinical skills, ethics, self-awareness, and the art of building a sustainable and fulfilling career. Whether you're early in your residency or navigating the final steps toward licensure, I aim to create a space where you feel empowered, challenged, and deeply supported.

Starting soon as a Resident in Counseling 

Hello! My name is Madison Marble. I am currently pursuing my residency in counseling and working towards the goal of becoming a Licensed professional counselor (LPC). I earned my bachelor’s degree from Liberty University in behavioral sciences and education. 

I then worked there as a preschool teacher and was able to work hands-on with children and families from various populations and backgrounds, including foster and adoptive households. During my time as a teacher, I decided to go back to school and earned my master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling (CMHC). Allowing me the opportunity to work with individuals ranging from men, women, adolescents, geriatrics, couples, groups, and more. No matter the age, everyone deserves to have a safe place to feel and express their thoughts and emotions.

 My approach to counseling is to provide a safe environment that fosters growth and understanding to help those who are struggling through evidence-based practices. Including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Trauma informed (TF-CBT), and integrative approaches. I believe in treating individuals as a whole and the power of the therapeutic alliance. Focusing on the mind and body along with understanding the root causes to presenting issues and how they are all connected, to develop treatment plans unique to each client’s personal needs. 

My specialties include anxiety, depression, sexual abuse/assault, trauma, grief, addictions, eating disorders, ADHD, Autism, OCD, and more. As a therapist, it is my goal to provide quality care to clients and establish treatment goals and plans that are unique to each client and their needs.

Everyone’s story is unique to them; therefore, their treatment process should be as well. When the opportunity came to work with Elhardt Family Wellness, I truly believed it was where God was calling me to be. I have a huge passion for children, families, individuals, and the foster/adopted community. Elhardt Family Wellness' mission to help members of their community build stability and connection to work towards healing creates an environment that shows a true passion to care for and help others. Which is what we as counselors set out to do. Therefore, providing an environment that aligns with the overall goal of counselors, which is to help others in our community through an evidence-based and compassionate approach!
